Belmont Hills Redevelopment

Thursday, June 25, 2009 - SMYRNA - Redevelopment of Belmont Hills Shopping Center has started with the issuance of five demolition permits.  Four of the permits involve buildings on the back of the main shopping center building with the fifth permit for the closed Burger King building.  Demolition began on these buildings today.  Because of the scope of this project, demolition and site work should continue at least into early 2010.  Halpern Enterprises, the developer, expects to begin vertical construction of Phase One in early 2010, with the first buildings delivered in 2011.
